Background on Dynamex Decision
In May, the Dynamex decision created a new test that makes motor carrier-independent driver relationships nearly impossible. If your company utilizes owner-operators, you may now be liable for wage and hour violations. Misclassification claims can cost your company up to $300,000 to $400,000 per driver.

More Information CTA's Dynamex Litigation
Following the direction of the California Trucking Association’s (CTA) Executive Committee, CTA and two California independent owner-operators filed a lawsuit at the end of October seeking declaratory and injunctive relief from the Dynamex Decision. Ogletree Deakins has been retained to represent California Trucking Association and the two owner-operators. A copy of the legal complaint can be found here.
