Congratulations to the State Champions of this year's California Truck Driving Championships. Winners of this competition will go on to represent California at American Trucking Association's National Truck & Step Van Driving Championships August 15-18 at the Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, OH.
A big congratulations goes to Mr. Hobie Eirich of FedEx Freight out of Anaheim who's combined score from the written test, course, and pre-trip inspection totaled 381 points to earn him the title of the 2018 Grand Champion.
The State Finals competition took place the following day after the Northern California Truck Driving Championships of Saturday, May 19 at FedEx Freight in West Sacramento. The winners of that competition faced off with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Southern California competition, held last month, to determine the State Champions.
