UCR Enforcement to Begin Next Week

You’ll remember that registration for the Unified Carrier Registration program had to be postponed this year from its usual starting date of October 1, until January 5, 2018.  Although UCR enforcement generally starts January 1 of a year, after which carriers and others subject to UCR requirements may be cited if they haven’t registered, the UCR Board extended the start of enforcement in 2018 for 90 days, until April 5.  That’s next Thursday. So if you haven’t completed your UCR registration yet, you have only a few days left. Fortunately it’s easy enough to do. Just go on-line to www.ucr.in.gov, the national UCR registration system operated by the state of Indiana, and get it taken care of.
