It's that time of year again - Come join us this year for the 57th Annual Central Coast Memorial golf tournament. I'm sure this year will be as much fun as years past, please mark October 5th on your calendar and click here to register.
Central Valley Unit donated $10,000 for the endowment of a scholarship at Reedly College. Unit members presented the check at the State Center Community College Foundation Board Meeting on August 16.
The next S/P Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 24 at Spike N Rail from 11:45 am to 1:30pm.

Kern Unit Annual Sporting Clays Shoot: Come out and enjoy a fun filled day participating in the Sporting Clays Shoot. Proceeds will benefit disabled and disadvantaged children, disabled veterans throughout Kern County. This event is being held at Kern County Gun Club in Bakersfield, CA. on Friday October 13th. Come join CTA's LA/Orange County Unit in their 50th Annual Golf Tournament & Dinner on September 18, 2017! This year we are returning to the prestigious Coyote Hills Golf Course for our tournament. Mark your Calendar: October 7, 2017 Truckers Rally for Kids Event. Last year this event raised over $40,000 for Abused and At-Risk Children in Southern California, and we are looking forward to another successful year. The planning has begun and this event is for everyone to attend, scene motorcycle/ car/ truck "Poker Run",delicious BBQ lunch, fun activities for kids and families to enjoy all day and some amazing silent auction and raffle items as well. Thank you to all our sponsors and participants who helped make last year such a success and looking forward to working with everyone for this year’s event.

The SB/Riverside Unit continues its support and dedication to the Art Thompson Teen Center of Colton (ATTC)
On August 15, 2017, the CTA gathered at City Hall in Colton, CA to bestow items provided by the annual Art F. Thompson Golf Tournament fund raiser. Items included: gaming consoles with games and controllers, docking stations, gaming stations, two 50" flat screen televisions, four Kindle tablets with full year unlimited reading subscriptions, a high definition movie theatre projector, and most importantly, over 40 backpacks with school supplies for each teen.
The City of Colton and the Art Thompson Teen Center proclaimed their appreciation for the California Trucking Association's San Bernardino/Riverside Unit, by honoring unit members with plaques presented by Mayor Richard A. DeLaRosa and Assembly Member Eloise Reyes. CTA members present to accept items of appreciation were: Tiffany Leal of Inland Kenworth, Bill Smerber of CPS Express, Jose Sanchez of SelecTrucks/Freightliner, and Val Liese of JJT, Inc.
