Golf Tournament -
Our Kern Unit wanted to take a minute to let you know how special this year’s "Kern Unit Golf Tournament" is going to be. Recently, our Kern Unit sponsored four local Kern County Make-A Wish Kids wishes totaling $22,000.00.
Why is this so special? Make-A-Wish Foundation provides wishes for kids with life threatening illnesses.
What’s the big deal? This special wish is a reward for the child and their family. A special moment after all they have been through. At this year’s golf tournament, we are making arrangements to have these wish families at our golf tournament so they can meet you and you can meet them.
Why is this important? I have found in my past experience with Make-A-Wish, when you connect the wish with the child who is going to receive it, it opens your heart and makes the connection between you and that child complete. This will be an experience to remember and be proud that your kind donations to our Kern Unit changed a family’s life. America's Finest Golf Tournament: Serving our service members at home and aboard. Funds
raised on the July 13th Golf Tournament will be donated to local non-profit organizations benefiting our
community.
