Overweight Corridor Enforcement

As some of you may have heard there has been enforcement activity on the Overweight Corridor recently. CTA recently was made aware of this and since that time has been working with Caltrans, CHP and other stakeholders to try and find a workable solution. Last week at the California Transportation Permit Advisory Council (CTPAC) meeting in Fontana this item was a major topic of discussion. Multiple impacted carriers were in attendance and it was decided during the presentation of the item that a broad based group of carriers will work on a proposal for Caltrans to consider. Extra legal permitting issues is the focus of the CTPAC and CTA is represented on the Council as Chairperson.
