Using an ELD is mandatory but using an electronic tax solution is voluntary – On-board recording devices, vehicle tracking systems or other electronic data recording systems may be used in lieu of or in addition to handwritten trip reports for IFTA fuel tax and weight mile tax reporting. The devices and systems may also be used in conjunction with other manual or computer systems.

Increasingly, the benefits of reduced paperwork and administrative costs are the motivation for motor carriers to adopt technology solutions to support tax obligations. Nina serves as EROAD’s Senior Manager for Strategy and Market Development and is responsible for establishing and sustaining key stakeholder relationships across North America and Europe.

Nina brings extensive knowledge of commercial transportation from 19 years of experience working within the technology, trucking, tolling and fuel card sectors. Early in her career, Nina was responsible for negotiating and contracting a wide array of tolling points of acceptance for the commercial goods and passenger fuel card industry across 37 countries in Europe.

Nina holds a graduate degree in Business Administration and is an active member in numerous professional transportation associations.

She currently lives in Frankfurt, Germany with her husband and two daughters.
