Nominations for the Joe Kent Allied Member of the Year Award

The deadline to submit nominations for the Joe Kent Allied Member of the Year Award is November 7, 2016. 

Congratulations to Mike Munoz of PB Loader Corporation for earning the 2015 Joe Kent Allied Member of the Year Award! 

This award was created in honor of Joe Kent, former Vice President for CTA. The award celebrates allied members in action, who like Joe, have given generously of themselves for the greater good of our organization over the years. In remembrance of Joe, we have created our highest recognition to be awarded annually at the Annual Membership Conference held each January. The recipient will be honored at the President’s Dinner, receive a $1,000.00 donation given by the Allied Member Conference that is to be awarded to the CTA activity of the recipient’s choice, and have their name inscribed on a commemorative plaque that will be permanently and proudly displayed at the CTA headquarters in Sacramento. The plaque holds nine years of recipients. 

Eligibility

-You should be an Allied member in good standing

-You should have a sponsor recommend you for the award

-Your sponsor should complete a nomination form

-Your sponsor must also be in good standing

-Your sponsor can be an Allied or Carrier member

-You should get endorsement from Unit Chair which should confirm your participation at the local unit level

If you have dedicated yourself this year to building a better California Trucking Association we encourage you to apply for this, our highest commendation given to any allied member.
