Last week California sent nine drivers to compete in American Trucking Associations (ATA) 79th Annual National Truck Driving Championships in Indianapolis, IN. With over 430 professional truck drivers from all 50 states, driver, Rollie Fugute, based out of the Porterville terminal, was a finalist, placing 4th in the qualifying round in the sleeper category. He then went on to compete in the final round of the competition. Even though he didn’t place in the final competition, this was a outstanding achievement! He has been driving for over 38 years, with over 5 million accident-free miles logged. Rollie has competed in 14 California Truck Driving Championships, and has been a State Champion two times. Congratulations, and job well done!
