Truck Route Study
Your participation is needed on three current truck route studies:
· San Joaquin County (for SJCOG)
· Irvine (for the City of Irvine)
· San Bernardino (for the City of San Bernardino)
San Joaquin County and its cities have existing STAA truck routes and have draft recommendations for new routes and extensions. The City of Irvine also has routes and is considering updates. Despite the heavy concentration of distribution and transportation activity there, the City of San Bernardino does not have designated truck routes and is creating a system from scratch.
These studies present unique opportunities for CTA units and members to provide input on:
· The adequacy of existing and proposed truck routes.
· The need for new truck routes to service existing and future customers.
· Truck route safety, navigability, and efficiency issues.
