"I joined CSCMP when I was in college. Supply Chain was a new field for me, and I wanted to get exposure to the industry and learn how I could navigate a career. It was a great experience to meet so many professionals that were so willing to mentor and guide me. Truly changed my perspective and helped me get started. Join a Roundtable and look for ways to get involved. We get tons of emails about volunteer opportunities and other ways to participate. CSCMP is aware this is an organization that people use outside of work, so the asks should never be too cumbersome. Make sure you are getting involved."

According to the May Logistics Manager’s Index Report®, the overall LMI index is 71.3, down from April’s reading of 74.5, which was the second-highest reading in the history of the index. Note that because the LMI is a change index, this does not mean the logistics industry is slowing down, merely
that the rate of growth has slightly decreased.

The reading of 71.3 is well-above the all-time average of 63.3, indicating that we are still in a state of elevated growth in the logistics industry.
