At this last PCOC Board of Directors meeting in Palm Springs, we were fortunate enough to have the new Assistant Director of the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR), Jesse Cuevas, attend our Legislative Committee and speak at our Legislative reception. Though Jesse is new to the position, he demonstrated his knowledge of the issues well, even when we peppered him with questions. Dealing with cannabis is one of the priorities for DPR in 2018, as it is an unexplored area for them. One of the major points Jesse drove home was that DPR wants to work with industry. DPR wants to come up with solutions to the current industry issues and those that will arise in the future.
