Case Management Adherence and Transitions of Care Guide: Hepatic Encephalopathy

1 Hour CE: RN, SW, CCM

Presenter:
Nancy Skinner, RN, CCM, CMGT-BC, ACM-RN, CMCN, FCM

Sponsored by Bausch Health

Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE) is a dangerous complication of cirrhosis of the liver. Regardless of age, for those with cirrhosis experiencing HE, morbidity and mortality significantly increase. Prevention and properly coordinated and transitional care after hospitalization will help decrease incidence. Case managers are on the front line of prevention education, care coordination and care transitions.

Are you looking for:

  • Real-world experience with no waiting
  • Knowledge to tackle new situations
  • Quickly improved skills for the benefit of your patients

Then CMSA Case Management Boot Camp is for you!

Case management is a growing healthcare profession, with a presence in every health delivery setting. Professionals moving to case management positions may or may not have access to adequate orientation and training. They often "learn on the job" and are not exposed to knowledge and skills that advance the practice of case management.

CMSA is filling this gap with an in-person CM Boot Camp offering for case managers looking to build their skills and experience. The term "boot camp" originated from the military’s requirement for intensive, short-term training. CMSA’s Boot Camp will provide an immersive and focused opportunity to grow and enhance the novice case manager’s skills through a three-part structure. If you have been a case manager for five years or less, are looking to change your area of practice, or advance your professional growth, this course is for you!

2022 Participant Testimonial: "I learned an incredible amount of information during this training. I will be taking everything I learned and putting it into practice."

CMSA is committed to elevating the professional practice of case management, supporting case managers for success and encouraging professionals to consider case management as their profession. The CMSA CM Boot Camp experience will help deliver on all three.

Mark your calendars: Our Integrated Case Management (ICM) Training, using the newly updated ICM Manual, will be held face-to-face via Zoom, October 31 – November 2. Registration is opening soon, so stay tuned!
