Special Announcement

CMSA conducted its Spring Integrated Case Management training program (ICM) March 4th through the 6th working virtually with case managers from around the country on growing their skillsets and enriching their practice.

“Of the many conferences I have attended, CMSA’s ICM was amazing. It was meaningful, informative, engaging, and enjoyable,” shared Sharan Tate, BSN, RN, CARN, CCM, president of Professional Rehabilitation Services of MI, Inc. and a Spring ICM attendee. “The information and process taught will be very helpful in my practice.”

CMSA's ICM program provides multiple strategies to engage clients, stratify risk and develop care plans to mitigate risk and help clients achieve improved health and well-being. The training includes a review of CMSA's Integrated Case Management Manual: For Case Managers by Case Managers, online learning sessions, self-study activities to prepare for Face to Face Training, and interactive practical application in a classroom setting.

Don’t miss your chance to participate in this valuable program. Fall dates have just been announced – October 17-19, Virtual Session – registration to open soon!

  • “This was by far the most rewarding educational conference.”
  • “Being able to hear from experts that presented information that I could actually use and is relevant to what is happening today and towards the future was amazing.”
  • “Thank you for making this digital, as we still are not allowed to travel at my company.”
  • “Was my first experience and it was an AWESOME!! experience for me.”
  • “I could not have asked for a better conference experience! I look forward to coming to next year's conference!”
  • “Thank you for such wonderful 1st time attending! The relationships and education are invaluable!”
  • “I loved the diversity of the presenters, which encouraged me and made me feel as though everyone in the field is valued.”

Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a dangerous complication of cirrhosis of the liver. HE can result in increased mortality, hospitalizations, falls, traffic accidents and psychological burden.

Regardless of age, for those with cirrhosis experiencing HE, morbidity and mortality significantly increase. Prevention, and properly coordinated and transitional care after hospitalization will help decrease incidence. Case managers are on the front line of prevention education, care coordination and care transitions — this webinar is a must-attend for CMs.

Our footprints in this world may blow away over time but the dep memories of these leaders carve a place in our hearts. Dr. Ilamae Hughes was the one to introduce me early on to CMSA and to the importance of CCM certification.
