Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, yet it is also one of the most preventable when early recognition and education are prioritized. Although Skin Cancer Awareness Month occurs in May, nurses and social workers are uniquely positioned to begin these vital conversations now—supporting patients with timely guidance, evidence-based resources, and practical tools for prevention.
This webinar provides an early “Spotlight on Skin Health” designed to help care teams strengthen their role in skin cancer education, address misconceptions, and promote proactive behaviors across diverse patient populations.
Participants will learn to identify common and high-risk presentations, understand prevention strategies, and communicate key messages that empower patients to take ownership of their skin health year-round. Through a blend of clinical insights and patient-centered approaches, attendees will leave equipped to share meaningful guidance, encourage screening, and connect individuals with diverse skin types to the appropriate dermatologic care before peak awareness activities begin in May.

CMSA will implement a modest membership dues adjustment in 2026—our first increase in more than a decade. During that time, dues have remained at $170 while member value has expanded significantly, including 150+ free CE hours, new trainings, enhanced networking, and stronger national advocacy. To ensure we can continue delivering this level of value, the CMSA Board of Directors approved the following dues updates effective January 1, 2026:
- Individual Membership: $189 annually
- 2-Year Membership: $345 (save $33 vs. annual)
- NEW 5-Year Membership: $829 (save $116 vs. annual)
- All other membership categories (MVD, International, Student, Retired, etc.) will also be adjusted to reflect comparable rates.
This change represents less than $2 per month for individual members. Even with these adjustments, CMSA dues remain well below the rate of inflation over the past decade—and below many peer organizations—while offering unmatched resources, community, and professional support.
Renew Early & Save: Memberships expiring in 2026 can renew now to lock in the current rate, and many are maximizing their savings by choosing the 2-year rate of $310!
Flexible Payment Option: A monthly dues plan remains available to spread costs over 12 months.
Your continued support makes all that we do possible. Thank you for investing in your professional growth, in our shared mission, and in the future of case management.
If you're due to renew soon, you can log into your CMSA Member Portal to renew! If your renewal is in 2026, call (615) 432-0101 or email cmsa@cmsa.org, and we will adjust your invoice! We're here to help! Together, we are stronger, and together, we will continue advancing our profession.
