CMSA is pleased to offer an updated version of the CMAG Diabetes Disease State workbook. Click here to download this workbook. 

The Case Management Adherence Guide (CMAG) provides case managers of any background with the information and tools necessary to advance assistance, coaching, and monitoring efforts with the goal of ultimately improving patient outcomes and care delivery.

Disease-specific chapters provide case managers with more in-depth information on how to apply the CMAG principals to specific disease states and patient populations. 

 

CMF plans to increase the number of educational scholarships awarded to case managers for professional education, such as its ICM Scholarship Program, which offers scholarships for CMSA's Integrated Case Management advanced training program.

Also, this summer, CMF will be launching a Small Grants Program to help case managers reach their goals.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a proposed rule to align mental health and substance use disorder benefits for low-income Americans with benefits required of private health plans and insurance. The proposal applies certain provisions of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 to Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The Act ensures that mental health and substance use disorder benefits are no more restrictive than medical and surgical services.

Projects to help long-term and behavioral health care providers.

National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Karen B. DeSalvo, MD, MPH, MSc, announced the availability of $1 million in grant funds to support community projects for the Community Interoperability Health Information Exchange (HIE) Program. The funding will help support and enable the flow of health information at the community level, leading to better care and better health.
