CMSA Arizona is pleased to announce that registration is open to all for our annual conference on Friday, November 12, 2021, in a virtual format so all can attend safely.  We have a great lineup of speakers and topics, with 6.0 CEUs CCMC and NASW, including 1 hour of Ethics.

We have partnered with a virtual conference production company to provide an immersive, interactive, and unforgettable experience for attendees.  The schedule for the day will include six engaging industry experts from across the country, presenting topics to include live Q&A, dedicated times for networking, visiting sponsor booths, lunch delivery via Grub Hub, prizes, and fun activities throughout the day.

Speakers and topics include:

Ellen Fink-Samnick, a licensed clinical social worker, board-certified case manager, certified clinical trauma professional and rehabilitation provider, will speak on “Tackling Collective Occupational Trauma: Post-Pandemic and Beyond,” and she will give away a signed copy of her new book to one lucky winner.

Tony Mollica is Regional President for Medicaid and the CEO for Independent Care Health Plan in Wisconsin and Market President in Louisiana. With nearly two decades of managed care experience, he will be presenting “Leading through Adversity.”

Kevin Stephan, M.D., is Vice President of Medical Affairs for Nod Specialists, and a board-certified Infectious Disease specialist.  As a Lt. Colonel (ret), Dr. Stephan served 23 years in the US Air Force.  His presentation discusses “Covid-19 Long-Haulers, Exploring the Pandemic within the Pandemic."

Stephanie Simbric is a national trainer and speaker, and a board member of the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence.  As a Law Enforcement Instructor with the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, she coordinated the human trafficking curriculum and trains law enforcement on responding to and investigating reports of human trafficking. Her presentation, “Human Trafficking,” is eye-opening.

Jerald Monahan is a 42-year public safety official in northern Arizona, former Chief of Police, and graduate of the FBI National Academy.  He now serves as the Program Director of the Administration of Justice Studies and Yavapai College Justice Institute. He is actively involved in addressing issues surrounding violence against women and will speak on crisis management, domestic violence, and a program titled, “Start by Believing.”

Richard LaSota, RN, is the Controller for Life Care Centers of America. An RN for 31 years, he has developed a process to hire and train people to become better interviewers, with the goal of improving managers’ ability to hire the right people for their work culture. “Hiring for Success” is his presentation.

If you register for the conference by October 27, you will be entered into a drawing to receive a free conference registration!  Registration is $60 for CMSA members, $75 for non-members, and there are still sponsorship opportunities available.  To register or obtain additional information, visit the CMSA Arizona conference home page or contact Sally Arnold, CMSA AZ Executive Director, sallyaarnold1@gmail.com.
