CMSA of the Chesapeake has stayed connected through our monthly newsletters. We are grateful to have a wonderful Executive Administrator, Kayla Walsh, who really keeps everything together for us!

The pandemic showed us all how to do virtual learning and Zoom meetings! Our Board meets at least monthly via Zoom, and participation has been excellent. We are able to tap into so many educational opportunities from across the country from different chapters. The Chapter Leader Facebook page has been so helpful, and we have several members that are on emails and Facebook sites from other Chapters. We have dedicated a spot on our website, cmsachesapeake.org, in the meetings section called “Chapter Friends” where we post these offerings and also promote that in our monthly newsletter. This has been such a cost-effective and easy way for members to get CEUs.

Unfortunately, our annual conference in April 2020 was postponed due to the pandemic. It usually brings in about 200 case managers and 40 vendors from all over MD, DC, VA, PA, and DE. We are pleased to be offering a 5 CEU Virtual Conference this year, spread over two evening and one Saturday session on April 29th, May 1st, and May 6th. We want to thank other Chapters for showing how that can be done! We have many of our vendors that have agreed to stay on, and we will be offering them special highlights during the event, as well as in a resource book and on our website. We are planning for another multi-session event in the fall. To register or learn more, click 2021 CMSA Chesapeake Conference

Three long-time members retired from the Board of Directors in 2020/2021. They were a huge part of the development and success of our chapter. We would like to send a BIG thank you to Roxanne Giannerini, Rebecca Cirri, and Donna Bandzwolek for all they have helped to accomplish for our CMSA of the Chesapeake Chapter.  We are pleased to have our new President Kim Roesner take the reins this year.  We were successful in recruiting several new board members and welcome their participation!

We look forward to continuing to promote these many local Chapter and National opportunities!!!
