One year ago, we lost an icon. As CMSA reflects on the memory of the late Margaret “Peggy” Leonard, she is on the mind and in the hearts of many because of her impact on case managers and CMSA members.  The Foundation continues to support programs that were created by Peggy though her passion for not only CMSA and the Foundation but also for Public Policy.

The Margaret Leonard Public Policy Fund encapsulates the passion that the late Peggy Leonard had for developing a better future for the case management industry through a collaborative, inclusive community of healthcare professionals working together to build industry wide solutions to case management issues.  This fund develops opportunities to promote public policy awareness and best practices by effectively communicating and building relationships with legislators, regulators and healthcare agencies  at the local, state and national level to advocate for case management public policy that puts the health of all patients first.   Donations to the fund will be used to educate case managers and other healthcare advocates on how to advance public policy through productive outreach.

To donate in honor of Peggy’s passion for public policy, visit www.cmsafoundation.org/mlppg.
