Taste of Chicago
We hope you were able to join us for last night's Taste of Chicago bash at the Lakeside Fountain Terrace. Attendees dined on a variety of dishes and desserts, from chicken skewers to samosas and cheesecake bites. With a live band, good company, and a view overlooking Lake Michigan, it was the perfect start to the CMSA 28th Annual Conference & Expo.

Annual Membership Meeting. Afterward, choose from a wide array of concurrent sessions at 10:10, then join your peers for some lively
discussion at the Lunch Symposia. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Travis Stork, will take the stage at
1:30 p.m. for his motivational talk, "Your Best Life!" And in the
evening, you won’t want to miss our Expo Hall Grand Opening, featuring food,
drinks, prizes, posters and fun!

Expo Hall Grand Opening
The Expo Hall is filled with hundreds of exhibiting companies, and their representatives are well-prepared to keep you up to date on the latest services, products and technology available to improve your practice. Meet them tonight at the Grand Opening at 5 p.m., which will feature poster presentations, dessert stations and multiple prize giveaways.

Military Day
Military/VA/DOD Day returned on Wednesday, with the theme "We Are Case Management in the Military/VA/DOD." A full house attended the all-day event, which provided both breakfast and lunch for the attendees, who were treated to sessions on a variety of topics important to military case managers, including the role of case managers in addressing the opioid crisis and the importance of providing patient-centered care. Attendees shared their own stories and experiences of case management in the military, the VA and the Department of Defense, including their challenges and triumphs.

2nd Annual Writing Workshop
This year's writing workshop, presented by Anne Llewellyn, RN-BC, MS, BHSA, CCM, CRRN, along with Brianne Baird, Monica Capogna and Kathy O'Malley, was a tremendous success that illustrated both the interest case managers have in writing for publication and their impressive talents. More than a hundred attendees gathered for the workshop and took part in writing sessions that produced excellent work. They also learned interviewing techniques and ways to share their experiences through different media.
