We hope the beginning of the conference has been a great experience for you thus far and that you’re taking every opportunity to network, learn from each another, and make the most of all the planned activities.

Last night’s opening night event was a rockin’ good time. It was the perfect way to ‘let down our hair’ and have a fun and carefree time meeting colleagues and networking with each other. 

Be sure to join us this morning at 8:00 a.m. for the Breakfast Forums (breakfast served at 7:30 a.m.), and stick around for Capt. Jerry Linenger Keynote Presentation and the recognition of the Lifetime Achievement Award, which begins at 9:45 a.m.*

Today marks the Grand Opening of the Expo Hall beginning at 11:30 am. Be sure to spend time in the Expo Hall, ask lots of questions, and take advantage of premier industry resources available at your fingertips. Lunch will be served until 1 pm, so grab a bite to eat in between vising with exhibitors. 

The rest of today rounds out with Symposia and Concurrent sessions from 2:45 to 5:30 pm. We hope you have a wonderful second day in Cleveland!

There are a couple of reasons; I’ve wanted to come for a few years. Location, travel and taking time off of work can become very difficult. The company I work for, Select Medical, was very kind to sponsor my attendance this year, and with this year’s location, I was able to drive versus having to fly. 

I attend many local conferences, and every time, it’s always about gaining something and being able to take something back to other case managers. In reality, we all are not able to attend these types of events, so having the opportunity to come and gain knowledge to ultimately share with many case managers and social workers is very important to me. 

I’m really looking forward to the Dr. Michio Kaku’s Keynote Presentation. I think he’s going to have a lot of great information to share; he’s well-versed, and very dynamic throughout the medical profession. I’m looking forward to taking what he presented and bringing it back to our local chapter, the Greater Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo Chapter of CMSA (a 2014 Award of Excellence for Best Use of Technology winner).
