At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Beverly Werth, RN, MSN, CCM, and Kellena Miller, RN, BSN, CCM, spoke about the efforts of the U.S. Army’s Warrior Transition Units, whose purpose is to "provide support needed by soldiers to heal and transition back the force or out of the military service as a veteran." It was a packed and lively session, with questions and input from case managers from a variety of settings, both military and civilian, who shared their own stories and experiences in aiding soldiers in need of rehabilitative care and complex medical case management.
