Yesterday's Annual Membership Meeting

At CMSA’s Annual Membership Meeting, yesterday morning, National President Kathleen Fraser introduced the CMSA Standards of Practice for Case Management, revised 2016, which update the definition of case management to reflect recent changes in practice and highlight the value of professional case management practice. Attendees at the meeting received a free copy of the standards. The standards can be downloaded for free here.

Kathy Fraser also announced the release of the 3rd Edition of the CMSA Core Curriculum for Case Management. A special post-conference session featuring many of the book’s authors will be held on Friday, June 24. Those who attend the session will receive a 50% discount off the price of the book.

Kathy Fraser also announced that there will be a major revision for 2016-2017 of the Integrated Case Management (ICM) Manual to align it with the revised standards of practice and Core Curriculum.

Executive Director Cheri Lattimer then took the stage to discuss CMSA’s public policy priorities for the coming year, including the importance of title protection for case managers and CMSA’s continuing support for multi-state licensure.
