In the current environment, your attitude (and the attitude of those around you) NEEDS to be positive as often as possible. This unique and timely session will help you recognize the importance of a positive attitude and provide proven strategies to help improve the attitude with your organization.
 
Attendance is free to CISCA members, but you must register.
 
Construction employment in July remained below the levels reached before the pre-pandemic peak in February 2020 in 36 states, according to an analysis by AGC of America of government employment data released recently. Association officials said construction employment would benefit from new federal infrastructure investments and urged the House to quickly pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

Boomers are leaving the workforce at a staggering rate. According to the Pew Research Center, on average, 2 million boomers have retired each year since 2011. That number rose dramatically in 2020 to 3.2 million. Within two years, millennials and Gen Z will make up over 52% of the workforce. As leaders, does this mean that the workforce is trading its skilled, hard workers for the entitled and flaky? Not likely.
 
OSHA is urging employers in the construction industry to take part in a weeklong safety stand-down to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
 
The U.S. construction industry temporarily came to a halt at the start of the pandemic. Thankfully, many leaders realized the essentialness of construction work and allowed projects to restart. However, according to Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the global health crisis cost the commercial construction industry more than one million workers. As of June 2021, ABC reported an 80% rebound in employment, with a shortage of between 200,000 to 400,000 workers still needed to close the pre-pandemic hiring gap.
