CISCA is pleased to offer this free informational webinar with our colleagues at the Gypsum Association. This 40-minute session, presented by Gypsum Association’s Technical and Market Advisor Greg Woolley, will provide an in-depth look at the GA’s code-referenced Fire Resistance and Sound Control Design Manual (GA-600-2018). A brief overview of the Manual will be followed by a deeper dive into the General Explanatory Notes for fire and sound. Often overlooked, the Notes are very helpful in problem solving and code compliance issues. After drawing attention to additional GA resources, the instructor will take questions. Registration is free to CISCA members.

CISCA is offering a new way for you to get in front of your customers with our virtual Contractor Lunch & Learn series!

This new series will begin in January and is designed to replace the in-person presentations that are not possible during the pandemic. CISCA will promote your presentation exclusively to CISCA Contractor members so you will have the target audience you want.

By participating, CISCA staff will host a one-hour Zoom session where you will present your products/services and take questions in an open forum. CISCA will invite our contractor members to the event but you can also invite products reps, independent reps and your non-CISCA member contractor customers to join. Best of all, this opportunity is FREE to you as a CISCA member! Your only cost is to provide a lunch voucher from a food delivery service (UberEats, GrubHub, DoorDash) for each contractor registered for your presentation.

Contractors will enjoy lunch at their desk while engaging with you during a virtual presentation… just like they would have done at your in-person presentation!

Insulation for Offices – A Dual Purpose
Johns Manville
Effectively placed insulation can support its dual purpose as both acoustical control and aesthetic appeal. However, in some applications, an uneven or rough surface will hinder its secondary purposes, either detracting from the aesthetics of the material or working against its functionality. Ensuring that you have the right product for the application is key and there are four things to consider in your design process.
