The importance of safety when working from heights cannot be emphasized enough. It is critical to take the proper precautions to protect employees, which includes conducting detailed jobsite checks to mitigate any hazards that are present and could lead to injury. U.S. Department of Labor and Public Citizen Foundation v. U.S. Department of Labor.

Company owners now have contingency plans in place in case a large portion of a project team tests positive for COVID-19 and has to be quarantined.

Construction has been one of the slowest industries to adopt technology. That’s partly cultural—folks in the industry like to solve problems with their own ingenuity. Many firms are still family owned, and there’s still a lot reverence for tradition. Plus, this is an industry with thin margins, where the first funding priorities are equipment and personnel.
