Time requirements are minimal – about a call a month, but more as needed when working on a project.

As distributors respond to COVID-19, they are noticing the limitations of traditional recessionary responses such as cost reduction and working capital preservation. This recessionary response may not be optimal due to the foundational constraint of this recession: social distancing. This factor affects face-to-face sales directly. Transitioning sales teams to work successfully in this new environment is key to revenue recovery.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) released additional guidance to provide information to workers and employers about how the requirements and protections of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) that impact the workplace as they continue to reopen. The new guidance provides plain-language questions and answers addressing critical issues related to COVID-19 based scenarios under all three laws.

As a result of the COVID pandemic, businesses face a new set of challenges that no one has experienced before. Fleet managers are no exception. As the world begins to reopen and states are entering different phases of the plan, many fleet managers are still trying to figure out how to do more with less by prioritizing their maintenance efforts and putting their dollars where they will be most effective.
