Construction employment increased by 10,000 jobs in October and by 148,000, or 2.0 percent, over the past 12 months, while construction spending decreased by 2.0 percent from September 2018 to September 2019, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America. Association officials said demand for construction is being undermined by uncertainty and tariffs that are part of a series of trade disputes with China, the European Union and other countries. 
 
“Teamwork makes the dream work” is only true if everyone on the team works efficiently toward the same common goals. It’s also a very idealistic phrase that assumes every day is a picture-perfect workday, which isn’t the case.
 
On Oct. 30, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) launched, FindTreatment.gov, a newly designed website that will help connect Americans looking for substance abuse treatment with approximately 13,000 locations across the United States.

According to a survey of anti-fraud professionals on occupational fraud produced by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, construction fraud accounted for 3.3 percent of all reported cases. The average median loss in each construction fraud reported was nearly $230,000.
