According to the BLS Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the number of open construction sector jobs fell slight in March to 172,000. National Association of Home Builders Chief Economist Robert Dietz reports that the open position rate, twelve-month moving average basis, was 2.65 percent and the construction sector hiring rate was measured at 5.1 percent for the month.
