Armstrong Expands Line of MetalWorks™ Blades – Classics with New Standard Sizes, Finishes, and Custom Capabilities

Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Solutions has expanded its MetalWorks™ Blades – Classics product family to include new standard sizes, finishes, and custom capabilities.

Standard ceiling blades are now offered in 1" x 4", 1" x 6", and 2" x 6" sizes in nominal 2', 4', and 8' lengths. Custom sizes available range from 12" to 120" long and 4" to 10" deep in 2" increments with either 1" or 2" wide blades. All the new additions are designed to create upscale visual interest and provide maximum linear design flexibility.

New Effects™ Wood Look Finishes
MetalWorks Blades – Classics are now offered in 17 different Effects™ Wood Look finishes and three standard colors. In addition to five classic wood look finishes, the metal ceiling blades are available in 12 new bold and subtle wood looks. These on-trend finishes, which range from bold graining to subtle weathered looks, deliver fresh, new options for bringing the warm look of wood to a space with durable metal panels. The new finishes are also available in 4" and 6" Effects trim.

The vertical blade panels are available in perforated and unperforated versions to create acoustical or non-acoustical linear designs. Perforated panels are supplied with a fleece infill to provide excellent sound absorption of up to 0.92 Sabins/sq. ft. Variable blade spacing is available for all standard sizes to accommodate a variety of design and acoustical needs. Select unperforated panels are part of the Armstrong® Sustain® portfolio that meets the most stringent industry sustainability standards.

Quick, Easy to Install
Made from aluminum for light, easy handling, the panels install quickly to standard Armstrong® Prelude® XL® 15/16" or 360° painted suspension systems with attachment clips. Panels are available with or without factory-installed end caps to allow for spliced long runs of linear panels. Field Cut End Caps are available on all standard sizes for a clean finish and to eliminate raw cut edges when panels are cut at the jobsite. MetalWorks Blades – Classics are part of the CleanAssure™ family of products, identified to meet CDC recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting, to help make spaces cleaner and healthier.
