CISCA Honors Dave Vanosdall with the Prestigious G.O.A.T. Award

On behalf of the Independent Manufacturers Reps in CISCA for contributions to the industry and in recognition of his retirement, Dave Vanosdall has received the prestigious G.O.A.T. award. Dave’s understanding and willingness to speak up for the industry from both the corporate world perspective and an independent manufacturers rep’s perspective have benefitted everyone. The time he’s spent in discussions with his peers as well as more recently imparting knowledge to those just starting in this industry is appreciated and truly a blessing. Thanks to Dave for sharing his passion, knowledge and friendship with us. We wish Dave and Sandie all the best in this next chapter of their lives.

Dave graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1972 with a degree in American Studies. Over the years his career has had an overwhelmingly broad reach beginning in the automotive industry; then in manufacturing, marketing and sales of ceilings, movable partition walls and access flooring; marketing and sales of linear metal roofing; managing a regional production and manufacturing facility specializing in custom interior metal products and finally as a distinguished sales rep with Lanton Associates, one of the best known and respected rep groups in the U.S. He has served on the CISCA Board twice – initially while employed at USG and for a second time while working at Lanton Associates. His interests include golf, photography, reading, sports and following local and national politics. In retirement he is hoping to advance his photography interests and return to golf as he now resides in a lovely retirement community with four golf courses. He has been happily married to his wife Sandie for 46 years and together they have two children; Steven and Stephanie, both of whom are engineering managers with Honeywell and Intel respectively.
