USG Sheetrock® Brand EcoSmart Panels Mold Tough® Firecode® X represent a revolution in wallboard manufacturing, significantly reducing the need for natural resources and impact on the environment. These 5/8-inch Type X lightweight gypsum panels have a noncombustible, moisture- and mold-resistant gypsum core encased in moisture- and mold-resistant, 100 percent recycled green face and brown back papers. 

 

When tested in accordance with ASTM D3273, the panels meet or exceed ASTM C1396 specifications. USG Sheetrock® Brand EcoSmart Panels Mold Tough® Firecode® X are UL Classified for fire resistance and can be used in any UL design in which UltraLight Innovation Type X (ULIX™) panels are listed. 

 

The panels, developed to meet the demand for more sustainable building materials are the only 5/8-inch Type X moisture- and mold-resistant panels to meet the Architecture 2030 Challenge for Products.
