A Fresno County judge was right to rule that a state regulator violated the California Environmental Quality Act by allowing small trucking companies to delay compliance with diesel air-quality regulations, an appellate court said.
 
Congress yesterday passed and President Trump signed legislation providing for a retroactive biodiesel blenders' tax credit for 2017, leaving the credit's status in 2018 and beyond uncertain. The measure was included as part of a larger budget package that will keep the federal government funded for the foreseeable future.
 
The budget deal that Congress passed on Feb. 8 restores the 9-cent-per-barrel tax on oil to pay for spill cleanups. The tax will not take effect until March 1, 2018, however, and will not be applied to transactions taking place between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28.
 
The California Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) intends to list TRIM® VX as known to the state to cause cancer under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. This action is being proposed under the authoritative bodies listing mechanism.

There is now just less than one month to go until the deadline to pay your 2018 CIOMA dues! Your member benefits will lapse is you have not paid your dues by February 28.

On Monday, February 5, a friendly reminder was sent out to those members who had not yet submitted their dues renewal.
