The Fuel Relief Fund is working non-stop in the Florida panhandle helping to deliver free fuel to those who need it most. As of Friday, FRF efforts are in full swing, but the level of destruction is overwhelming.

FRF is currently working to ensure first-responders and relief agencies have the fuel they need to continue their efforts. Families have lined up for miles to receive FRF aid, and the lines show no sign of shortening.

FRF needs your help! Any you can provide is greatly appreciated and every little bit makes a difference.

Earlier this month, and after years of CFCA efforts, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) preempted California's meal and rest break rules for hazmat drivers, allowing fuel companies and others to safely deliver fuel to consumers. For months, CFCA has sent letters to federal officials urging them to address this issue and last month, The American Trucking Association filed a petition with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, asking the agency to take similar action for all drivers in California.

The State of California has formally appealed PHMSA's preemption, yet we do not expect it to have any effect.

If you would like to submit comments and explain how California's meal and rest break rules have affected your business, please submit them with FMCSA in the link below.

Please be sure to include the docket number in your comments: FMCSA-2018-0304

We all know that California's government has spent millions developing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. They are becoming seemingly ubiquitous around the state and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Yet, one thing stands out... there's hardly ever an EV parked at one. CFCA wants your pictures of this excessive taxpayer waste. We want your pictures of EV charging stations throughout the state that sit empty, or better yet, used by non-electric vehicles.

Send them directly to CFCA via email, or you can share them to CFCA's social media channels yourself with the hashtags #EVacuated and #dEVoid.

Let's see who can capture the best image of this taxpayer waste!

Less than three weeks before Election Day, Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom has a double-digit lead over John Cox in the race for California governor, a new KPIX 5/Survey USA poll finds. Meanwhile, a measure to repeal the recently enacted gastax hike is also leading.

The poll of 762 likely California voters finds the Democrat and former San Francisco mayor leading the businessman and Republican by a margin of 52 percent to 35 percent. While Cox has a narrow lead among voters in the Central Valley and Inland Empire, Newsom is leading by 18 points in the much more populous Los Angeles area and by 47 points in the Bay Area.

As the political battle to overturn California's gas tax increase intensified, the state transportation agency coordinated frequently with the public affairs firm working to block the repeal on behalf of unions, construction companies and local government groups, emails obtained by The Associated Press show.

The California State Transportation Agency and Sacramento-based Bicker, Castillo & Fairbanks organized news conferences and other efforts to promote legislation to raise the tax to fund road and bridge repairs, which passed the Legislature in April 2017.

My community can't afford the uncontrolled cost increases that the California Air Resources Board (ARB) is proposing. Last year, our State Legislature passed legislation to rein in the costs posed by California's climate program while still achieving reductions in emissions. But ARB, which is charged with carrying out the legislation, is ignoring the cost containment part of the mandate.

Instead, ARB is proposing a revised cap-and-trade program that forces Californians to pay more for gasoline, utilities, food and other essentials. These cost increases hurt everybody, but they especially impact low-income families, for whom these necessities make up a bigger part of the household budget. Many families in the City of Mendota will be pushed over the brink by these reckless cost increases.

The 2015 Underground Storage Tank regulation went into effect on October 13.

Three years ago, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an update to the Underground Storage Tank (UST) regulation and the state program approval regulation in the Federal Register. The revisions strengthened the 1988 federal UST regulations by increasing the emphasis on properly operating and maintaining UST equipment.
