Attention: Transport Refrigeration Unit August 31 Purchase Order Deadline

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) recommends that TRU and TRU generator set owners take action now to order compliance options to ensure TRU model year 2010 engines (or units manufactured in 2010) comply with in-use performance standards by the end of 2017. Model year 2003 TRU engines that met the Low-Emission TRU (LETRU) In-Use Performance Standard in 2010 also need to meet the Ultra-Low-Emission In-Use Standard or be replaced by the end of 2017. Please be aware that replacement engines are no longer a compliance option because replacement engines must be cleaner than the old engine being replaced and there is no replacement engine that fits and functions that is cleaner than a MY 2010 engine
