Introducing our Staff

Founded in 1952, the California Independent Oil Marketers Association (CIOMA) is the industry's statewide trade association representing the needs of independent wholesale and retail marketers of gasoline, diesel, lubricating oils and other petroleum products; transporters of those products; and retail convenience store operators. As CIOMA is growing, so is our staff! Here is CIOMA's workforce:

More about new staff members:

Sam Bayless started on February 10, 2017 and received a bachelors in political science from Santa Clara University. Sam is the regulatory staff person focusing on the regulatory efforts in California. He comes from a background in the tech industry and most recently worked on the Sheriff Scott Jones campaign for U.S. Congress. (bayless@cioma.com)

Holly Gamboa started on March 1, 2017 and earned a bachelors in communications, emphasis in public relations at California State University, Sacramento. She recently worked for Solar Nest in Sacramento State's public relations where she wrote press releases, promoted special events, and managed social media accounts. She also worked for Public Relations Student Society of America at Sacramento State as Outreach Director. (gamboa@cioma.com)

Marisa Diaz started on CIOMA on March 13, 2017 and is pursuing a career that will utilize her Public Relations degree from California State University, Sacramento. Marisa was recently with the Western Propane Gas Association, where she worked part-time in a similar role. She also worked for CBS Radio as a Promotions Assistant/Receptionist. (diaz@cioma.com)
