Join us for CIOMA's 2016 Government Relations/Membership and Day at the Capitol Meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15-16, 2016 in Sacramento, California. This two-day annual event is geared toward informing you about important government relations issues and developing the association's grassroots advocacy program. This is the perfect opportunity to explain issues troubling your business and your industry to your elected representatives.

Our event kicks-off on Tuesday, March 15 at The Citizen Hotel for the Government Relations (GR) and Membership Meetings where attendees will hear presentations from various speakers on a number of issues.

The first part of the meeting features a discussion on 2016 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) regulations. This workshop will provide participants with an update on GHG regulation issues, simple communication tools, outreach resources, and how to engage your business, community, and thought leaders in questioning the validity of strident carbon reduction goals being promoted by the State Administration. The survival of your business is at stake - get involved!

The second part of the day's meeting will give members a quick overview of the vast array of discounted, money-saving member benefits and programs CIOMA has to offer thanks to our relationships with a multitude of vendors within the industry. Additionally, attendees will hear presentations from CIOMA's industry partners first on tax extenders, then on risk management techniques to address the alarming cultural and economic consequences of distracted driving. These are informative rather than sales presentations, so don't miss out!

Following the GR and Membership Meeting, CIOMPAC is pleased to invite you to a special CIOMPAC Contributor Appreciation Reception and Silent Auction aimed at recognizing and thanking PAC contributors and supporters. CIOMA members who have contributed a minimum of $100 to CIOMPAC with their annual dues renewals in December 2015 or have contributed between January 1, 2016 and March 15, 2016 are invited to attend the reception. If you have not yet contributed to CIOMPAC and would like to attend the reception, you will have the option to make a contribution onsite. Attendees will also have an opportunity to place bids on many must-have items. Afterwards, join us for a delectable and exciting networking dinner where you can enjoy good food and good company.

On Wednesday, March 16, we have a wonderful and exciting new program in store for you! Get a great start to the day's activities with an appetizing full hot breakfast buffet before heading over to the State Capitol where we have a special presentation, then CIOMA members will go over some Lobby Day issues and basics which will assist you when meeting with your legislative representatives.

After you're prepped and ready it's time to meet with your elected officials, but don't worry, if you're new to this you'll always be with another experienced member. We'll also have a break for lunch and a debriefing and refreshments at the end of the day.

All members are encouraged to attend both days. This is a wonderful opportunity to re-energize both personally and professionally. We request your advance registration so we can be sure to schedule an appointment with your legislative representatives. This will be time well spent so don't wait, register today!
