Join us for CIOMA's semi-annual New Legislators Introduction Day where members experience a unique opportunity to have their voices heard at the California State Capitol. Spend the day with us as we walk the halls of the Capitol and meet with policy makers to educate them on key issues that affect your business, your industry, as well as share CIOMA's collective message.

It is important to know that as members, your grassroots activity dovetails with CIOMA's legislative program and the work done on behalf of CIOMA by our legislative advocate (lobbyist). All of these elements are necessary and are key to making an effective team to promote your perspectives on issues and protect your interests.

Legislator Reception

Wednesday, January 14 | 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm | Sacramento, CA 

Following our New Legislators Introduction Day, we will be hosting a reception for a small group of legislators and CIOMA attendees.  This is an excellent opportunity to visit in a relaxed one-on-one setting with a policy-maker, which is critical in educating them on the challenges you face as a small business marketer and/or retailer in our state. 

The legislators we anticipate having in attendance are Assemblymembers Henry Perea(D-31), Bill Dodd (D-4), Jim Cooper (D-9), Eduardo Garcia (D-56), Mike Gipson (D-64), and Patrick O'Donnell (D-70).
