September Spotlight Award Winner – Dennis Mezik, OMNI Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa (Member Care Committee). Formerly known as Engaged Member of the Month, the Spotlight Award honors committee members who have really been an all-star on their committee.

How did you become involved in MPI?

I joined MPI way back in 2004 when I worked at the Eaglewood Resort as we were hosting the MPI Golf tournament, and my director wanted me to be involved.  I quickly realized that being an MPI member gave me the opportunity to grow my career and create everlasting relationships.

What has been the most exciting moment or memorable thing that has happened since joining MPI?

I have attended several MPI WEC conferences over the years, with favorite host cities being Vancouver and Salt Lake City.

I have visited over 40 countries on six continents.

What is one goal for MPI-CAC you have in your position this year?

Cohesively align our committees with the Ed content committees to ensure no detail is left undone and we can provide members with memorable and valuable educational programs.

What do you like to do when you’re not working? 

Yoga, hike, tennis, bring my dog to the park.
