Volunteer Spotlight

Member Spotlight

Spotlight Award Winner – Ethan Carter, Paramount Events (Holiday Party Committee)

"Since commencing my role within The Paramount Group, I was interested to know more about professional networking opportunities, and I was recommended to MPI by our CEO, Jodi Fyfe. So, I signed up and immediately offered my services to the Holiday Party Committee in support of the annual celebration held in December for the Chicago Area Chapter. Hands down, it was the culmination of working alongside many other professionals in their field to help produce the Holiday Party and seeing it all ‘come to life’ on the day – everyone’s hard work and support going into creating a memorable experience for our guests and our colleagues – isn’t that what we all love the most out of this business?"

Editor’s Note: Formerly known as Engaged Member of the Month, the Spotlight Award honors committee members who have really been an all-star on their committee.

Volunteer/Join a committee

The best way to get the most out of your MPI-CAC membership is by joining a committee. It’s a great way to network, utilize your skills or challenge yourself to try something new! We know everyone has busy schedules, but many of our committees have a variety of tasks that can be done in just one hour a month!

Committees are always looking for members with leadership skills, creative mindsets and the drive to collaborate with fellow industry professionals.

Once a month – third Monday

Outreach for silent auction and raffle items, creating trivia content, marketing and the development of creative cash sponsorship packages

What makes your committee fun or stand out?

This is such a fun event, and the team has a blast designing it and creating content. Our favorite meeting of the year is when we run through the questions and have our own mini trivia night!
