Events

As the industry continues to monitor and adjust to COVID-19, we would like to assure you that MPI Chicago Area Chapter is doing the same. With the recent developments of COVID-19 and the CDC’s recommendations for events, we are hopeful that in the coming months we will have the opportunity to gather together again as a community. For all future events we will continue to monitor the situation, and we will keep you informed of any changes.

Volunteer Spotlight

Spotlight Award Winner - Jeff Durocher, U.S. Poker & Casino Parties (Partner Development Committee)

"I heard good things about MPI so I started to look into it back in 2014, ’15, ’16. I offered to join the board to help. After a few discussions with some board members, they recommended that I join a committee first to better understand the organization. That was good advice! A couple of months later, I decided to poke my head into the IX Exchange when it was on Navy Pier. It was a well-attended event with a number of great connections. I met three to four people that were very interesting and all of them have become great friends or partners even to this day."

Spotlight Award Winner - Caroline Thompson, Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago (Partner Development Committee)

"MPI is a well-known organization within the meetings and hospitality world, and I had always wanted to join after hearing colleagues talk about it and the great connections they made through it. I joined at a previous hotel, where I handled the corporate market, and attended my first MPI-WEC in Indy and have been a member ever since!"

Editor’s Note: Formerly known as Engaged Member of the Month, the Spotlight Award honors committee members who have really been an all-star on their committee.
