Volunteer/Join a Committee

The best way to get the most out of your MPI-CAC membership is by joining a committee. It’s a great way to network, utilize your skills or challenge yourself to try something new! We know everyone has busy schedules, but many of our committees have a variety of tasks that can be done in just one hour a month!

Committees are always looking for members with leadership skills, creative mindsets and the drive to collaborate with fellow industry professionals. Click here to see the full list of committees and to fill out the committee interest form.

Committee Spotlight – Holiday Party

Vice President, Special Events – Tanya Mishigian

Director of Special Events, Holiday Party and AARC – Jonathan Zani

Co-Chairs – Tom Kokinakos and Courtenay Lipka

What is your committee responsible for?

Our committee is responsible for planning and executing the MPI-CAC Annual Holiday Party event, one of our largest attended networking events each year. We come together to celebrate the beginning of a new year for our industry.

How often does your committee meet?

We meet once a month for one hour on the second Wednesday of every month.

What are some tasks people do for your committee?

The committee develops a theme and creates ideas on how best to execute logistically. The Holiday Party event is also a fundraiser for MPI-CAC, a 501c3 organization, and has a raffle and silent auction component for which our committee members assist in soliciting donations. All of the funds we raise go back to our members, i.e., membership grants, education scholarships, etc.

What makes your committee fun or stand out?

The Holiday Party is truly an event everyone looks forward to. We always make sure to have an attractive theme that makes attendees want to get together and celebrate. Starting the new year off right with all of the fabulous folks in our industry can't help but make people smile and excited to attend.
