We are hiring a full or part-time chiropodist. Our ideal candidate should be able to perform comprehensive foot assessments, treatments, provide health education/counselling and other clinical foot care management plans to the full scope of Chiropody practice in accordance with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. We are looking for a clinician who is enthusiastic, competent, professional, patient-focused and dedicated to lifelong learning. Experienced chiropodists or new graduates are welcome to apply! Job Description / Duties:
- Inherit and build own caseload
- Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education/counselling and other primary clinical foot care activities to the full scope of Chiropody practice and according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
- Provide thorough and timely foot care for our clients
- Perform detailed biomechanical assessments, prescribe & modify custom foot orthoses, provide nail surgeries, custom foot orthotics, stockings, footwear & bracing
- Maintain accurate and up -to-date patient records, including treatment plans & progress notes
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing clinical education, training
- Make referrals to internal and external services and advocate on behalf of clients as appropriate
- Maintain competence, patient confidentiality and license to practice
Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Valid license to practice as a Chiropodist in Ontario
- Registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
- Professional Liability Insurance in keeping with the College’s Standards
- Proven experience in providing chiropody/podiatry services, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, biomechanics, and common foot conditions.
- Proficiency in conducting foot assessments, diagnosing foot conditions, and developing treatment plans.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively explain diagnoses, treatment options, and foot care instructions to patients.
- Positive, friendly demeanour with ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
