Practice management in wound care means navigating the insurance world so that both and patient and practice benefit. Offloading, custom orthotics, and various types of durable medical equipment are interventions that can generate revenue, but that also provide important clinical value. Additionally, lymphedema pumps, noninvasive vascular testing, and dispensing of wound care products may be options for some.

There is no current guidance for the treatment of concurrent diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and lower limb edema, leading to uncertainty around the safety and efficacy of combination approaches incorporating offloading and compression therapies.
