Philippe Dubreuil  

Mr. Philippe Dubreuil is a successful business owner and practice management consultant. He has been an educator for over 30 years of which most was spent as a corporate trainer where he trained administrative and executive staff of Canadian and international corporations (including non-profit organizations) in the performance of their duties. He also had the opportunity to work for 3 years in counselling drug addicts at a drug rehab centre in Quebec. He has spent over 12 years as an executive consultant of which the last 10 years were spent as a consultant for health care professionals and small & medium size companies. He has done extensive training in troubleshooting organizational problems that hinders growth in companies as well as in human resources as an establishment officer and talent acquisition expert. His passion is to help others achieve their true potential and what drives him the most is empowering others in achieving their goals and dreams.

Jean Eaton  

Jean L. Eaton is Your Practical Privacy Coach and Practice Management Mentor with Information Managers Ltd.

Jean assists healthcare providers, clinic managers, practice managers, privacy officers, and independent healthcare practice owners with practical privacy awareness training and tools that are easy to implement, cost-effective, and meaningful to your day-to-day business.

As a Certified Health Information Management professional (CHIM), privacy awareness training facilitator, and Certificate of Telehealth Skills Proficiency Jean has had the honour to share their obsession about practical privacy and confidentiality advice with hundreds of medical clinics and healthcare practices and organizations across Canada and the US.

  Mike Miller

Mike Miller leads OHI’s marketing of programs and services with responsibility in the United States and Canada.

In his previous role with OrthoArizona, a private orthopedic practice,  he served as the Director of Marketing. Miller was responsible for the company’s expansion efforts including the acquisition of a large well-known podiatry practice and the build out of two additional orthopedic offices.  His primary focus on cultivating relationships saw the practices referral sources grow to just over 300 practices within Arizona. Miller also pioneered the sports medicine program between OrthoArizona, Dignity Health Hospital Group and Gilbert Public Schools.

  Brandon Maggen

Brandon Maggen is a South African trained podiatrist with more than 20 years clinical experience including custom orthotic lab co-ownership and management. With direct interest in clinical pathomechanics (not just biomechanics), Brandon has developed a keen curiosity in the manifestation in the foot and gait, of systemic disease and dysfunction.

Working in a Toronto-based state-of-the-art custom orthotics laboratory, the opportunity to combine clinical, academic and 3DP production ability highlights the various roles each has in podiatry practice. Brandon is currently pursuing a PhD in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Zachary O'Neal  

Zachary O'Neal is a Clinical Program Representative in Phoenix, Arizona, providing clinical services to practices throughout the state of Arizona.

Prior to Joining OHI, Zach has worked as a clinician for Hanger Clinic and a technician in an exclusive lower extremity clinic. Zach has been involved in the footwear industry from a young age as third generation in his family to be involved in the business.

Zach holds his Certification in Pedorthics from the American Board for Certification and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Grand Canyon University

Patrick Rainville  

Patrick Rainville graduated as Chiropodists from the Michener Institute in 1997.  He established a Chiropody practice in Timmins with his wife, Tina.   The Rainville's employ a staff of 15, which include support staff, Nurses, a Pedorthist, and Chiropodists.  He is a registered member of The College of Chiropodists of Ontario, a member of the CFPM and the OSC. He currently sits on the Michener Institute's Chiropody PAC committee. He is a College of Chiropodist practice assessor and a clinical site for 3rd-year Chiropody students. Patrick has a particular interest in indigenous foot health and is actively engaged to help his colleagues succeed in their practice.

  Dr. Axel Rohrmann

 

Born and raised in South Africa, Dr. Axel Rohrmann completed his studies in Podiatric Medicine through the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. In 2000, he moved to Singapore, where he set up Podiatry services in Changi General Hospital and served as head of the program.

He was involved with the Wound Healing Society and much of his practice revolved around "high risk" feet and limbs, working closely with vascular, orthopedic and plastic surgeons.

In the summer of 2007, he arrived in Canada and immediately started work with the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region Podiatry program, for which he was the Clinical Head Podiatrist. Learn more about Dr. Rohrmann.

  Dave Simard

Dave Simard, D.Ch., graduated in 1996 as a Chiropodist from the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences. Now in his 25th year of practice, Dave is the founder and Lead Clinician of The Simard Foot & Ankle Clinic in sault Ste. Marie.

In addition to his private practice, he has previously served as the Podiatric Consultant for the Superior Family Health Team for 8 years, Wawa Lady Dunn Hospital for 20 years and The Chapleau District Hospital and Family Health Team for 9 years. Dave, along with his wife and two daughters, call Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario home.  Practicing for nearly 25 years in an underserviced area has afforded Dave with a wealth of experience in a comprehensive Podiatric Medicine practice participating as a consultant with numerous rare diseases/disorders and challenging cases. Learn more about Dave.

Jodene Simard  

Jodi Simard is the Practice Manager at Simard Foot & Ankle Clinic in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She completed her undergraduate degree in Honours Biology (B.Sc.) at McMaster University and then attended the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences graduating from Diagnostic Cytopathology in 1995.  After a change in her career path, Jodi was part of the first cohort to obtain certification in podiatric assisting through the CFPM’s Podiatric Assistant Certification Program.

With 25 years experience in healthcare, Jodi has always had a special interest in quality assurance, efficiencies in scheduling and the patient experience.   New to the conference arena, she is looking forward to sharing how the art of anticipation is one of the most valuable skills of a podiatric assistant.  Learn how to cultivate this skill to be able foresee what is needed and appropriately respond in any situation making you an indispensable asset to your podiatrist.
