Member Attends Special Olympics Ontario.

The special olympics are dedicated to enriching the lives of Ontarians with an intellectual disability through sport.

Our members are full of heart, and no one embodies that passion more than Olga Lalande, a dedicated chiropodist who leads the charge in organizing foot health services for Special Olympics Ontario events.

With a skilled and caring team behind her, Olga coordinates comprehensive foot screenings for athletes—an experience that is both deeply rewarding and vital to their performance and comfort. From proper shoe fitting and footwear advice to thorough assessments of skin, nails, biomechanics (BMA), and gait (GA), our volunteers ensure every athlete is supported from the ground up.

It’s wonderful we have such amazing members bringing the energy, enthusiasm, and care to each event they attend for our profession. It is a true testament to how committed we are to making a difference—one step at a time.
