CLFP continues its webinar series with the next webinar focusing on issues related to ag exports and the ports. Over the past year, the American economy, and particularly the agriculture sector has grappled with widespread delays, bottlenecks and increasing fees at our ports. This originated with the COVID pandemic, and is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. With more than 20% of U.S. agricultural production aimed for export, reaching foreign markets is essential to American producers and the viability of our agricultural sector at large. Peter Friedmann, executive director of the Agriculture Transportation Coalition, is recognized and frequently quoted as fierce advocate for agriculture’s international transportation interests, in Washington, DC and nationwide. He will address ongoing challenges facing food processors, with particular focus on exporting and importing through the California ports upon which our food processors depend.

By now, the benefits of having a diverse workforce are well known — a 19 percentage point higher average innovation revenue being just one of them. To assess how companies are doing with their diversity efforts, Forbes once again partnered with Statista to survey their employees. The 2021 survey involved 50,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. The final America’s Top Employers for Diversity list identifies the Top 500, taking into account employee ratings as well as factors including the diversity of the leadership team and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
