CLFP members receive a substantial discount on exhibit space at Food Processing Expo 2020, the largest food processing trade show in California. The Expo will be held in Santa Clara, February 12-13. A standard 10’ x 10’ booth space is $1,900 for a CLFP affiliate member, compared to $2,300 for a non-member.

CLFP will hold its Fall Board of Directors Meeting on October 24 at Wine & Roses in Lodi, CA. Nora Sheriff with the Buchalter Law Firm will be the featured guest speaker. Sheriff is an expert on energy policy and rates. She will discuss the ongoing issues related to PG&E’s bankruptcy and wildfire litigation’s impact on industrial ratepayers. The meeting is open to all CLFP board members and alternates.

CLFP’s Agricultural Production Committee will hold its fall meeting on November 7 at the Hotel Mission De Oro in Santa Nella. The committee meets twice a year in the spring and in the fall and discusses agricultural issues of interest to California's food processing industry. The meeting is open to all CLFP members

The California Legislature adjourned its 2019 Legislative Session on September 13. CLFP was engaged on a number of priority legislative issues in the final weeks of the legislative session that had direct implications to the food processing industry in California. While CLFP was successful in stopping several of these bills, some did pass the legislature and were sent to the Governor Newsom’s desk.
