Industry statistics for the state's processed tomato and peach industries are now available on CLFP's website. The statistics are updated regularly throughout the processing season and include current inventories, pre-harvesting estimates and weekly deliveries to processors.

Does long COVID present any ingredient innovation opportunities for the industry?
Chronic COVID's association with smell and taste disorders offers prospects for the food industry to revamp recipes and menus, some say.
 
How many people's eating experience is being diminished as a consequence of long COVID? No one really knows. 
 
We do know that many of those infected report loss of smell and taste - called anosmia - as a symptom (it is believed that 75-95% of what we taste is actually due to the smell.)

New Climate Change Policy Measure
 
   
The California Legislature adjourned for summer recess on Friday, July 16, and will reconvene on August 16. Before they adjourned, the Legislature moved several priority CLFP opposed bills out of policy committees. Perhaps the most problematic measure relates to California’s climate change policy.
