10th Annual CLFP Capitol Day June 20

CLFP’s 10th Annual Capitol Day will be held in Sacramento on Wednesday, June 20. This event provides an excellent opportunity for CLFP members to meet with legislators, regulators and representatives of Governor Jerry Brown to discuss issues affecting the food processing industry. The California Legislature is engaging in a number of critical legislative issues in 2018 that will impact the food processing industry, including water, climate change, air quality, food labeling, taxes, labor and workforce, regulatory reform and litigation reform measures. Your legislators need to know your company’s views on these and other key issues.

Capitol Day activities will include a preliminary breakfast briefing session, followed by briefings from the Governor’s office staff and Senate and Assembly leadership. CLFP will then host a lunch program, followed by visits with legislators who represent regions of the state with large concentration of food processors. The day will end with a legislative reception in downtown Sacramento.

The registration deadline is June 1. For more information, contact Trudi Hughes.
